Do you make choices or decisions to trade poor habits for healthy ones, but those changes don't stick?
Have you spent years and dollars to heal your trauma, but it keeps coming up again?
You choose a day, put everything in your calendar and set alarms, but
days later it's back to the old patterns?
You commit to responding to circumstances and people in a different way, but the same old triggers are still firing?
I'm a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, coach, and speaker focused on helping people heal at the foundational level.
We make decisions and choices to change in the conscious mind, but that's not where those big changes happen.
Big change happens in the subconscious mind, and that's where Hypnotherapy works.
By changing limiting beliefs, creating new habits, healing trauma-effects, and removing subconscious barriers, clients can experience the confidence they were born with, and the health they deserve.
By creating new pathways in the mind, we start to notice new health in our body. When we heal our mind and body, we walk those new pathways with purpose.
Hypnotherapy is an efficient access to our neural programming. So let's go deeper, for permanent change.
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that accesses the neural programming in the subconscious for deeper change. I use guided relaxation, focused attention, and a heightened state of awareness, often referred to as a trance. In this state you are more open to your suggestions, delivered by me. You can explore beliefs, feelings, and memories that are not easily accessible in your normal state of consciousness. Hypnotherapy helps you make positive changes in your behavior, emotions, and perceptions.
What's possible after that is up to you....
Hypnotherapy offers several potential benefits, including:
Improved stress and anxiety management
Enhanced pain control
Assistance with behavioral changes such as quitting smoking or managing weight, Improved sleep quality.
Relief from certain phobias or fears
Enhanced focus and concentration
Greater self-confidence and motivation
Results can vary from person to person, but many find it to be a transformative therapy.
No, hypnotherapy is not mind control. It’s a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to help individuals access their subconscious mind and address various issues, such as stress, anxiety, or unwanted habits. I cannot make you do anything that you do not want to do, and you will never reveal anything you do not want to. It is not what you see in the movies.
Hypnotherapy relies on trust, cooperation and consent. I am simply your guide. I help facilitate change by working with your goals and desires, not by imposing external control. It's about empowering you to make positive changes in your life where those changes happen.
In the trance state, the subconscious mind becomes more receptive to suggestions. I provide affirmations or imagery that align with your goals based on our conversations (e.g., reducing anxiety, building confidence). Through reframing negative beliefs, and defining how you want to feel, respond, and interact with the world, I help you reframe negative thoughts and beliefs, repattern trauma-responses, and change behaviours that contribute to your issues.
What would life be like to be free of all that?
Before we book a session we'll meet on ZOOM for a 30 minute Consult. We'll talk about what you'd like to change, what you've done about it in the past, and why now? If we're a good fit, we'll move on to book the Initial Session.
In the Initial Session we will go deeper into what was shared briefly in the Consult, and then clearly define what the desired state would be. I will ask you what you need to know, to see, or to experience to know that our work together was successful. At that time we will move into the hypnosis portion of the session.
After the suggestions, I will guide you back to a relaxed but alert state, reinforcing the positive changes.
The number of hypnotherapy sessions required can vary depending on the individual and the issue being addressed. Some people may experience significant changes after just one or two sessions, while others may need several sessions to achieve their goals.
For deeply emotional issues like trauma, anything body-related, addiction, depression, or other emotional issues there may be other concerns that come up. It is not possible to determine exactly how many sessions are needed, but we'll be sure to measure our success as we go.
You will also be given tools, tips, and practices to use at home, giving you the power to continue your journey outside of the sessions.
Yes, hypnotherapy can be beneficial for managing anxiety and stress. Through regulation of the nervous-system and helping individuals access and alter the subconscious thoughts, beliefs, and memories that trigger the nervous-system, hypnotherapy can reduce the symptoms of anxiety and stress.
Reframiing and reprogramming trauma-effects and reactions creates new neural pathways. This can improve mental, emotional and physiological health.
My clients have experieced improvement in their relationships, their work, and their health, as well as connection, safety and joy.
Hypnotherapy is an effective tool for weight loss for many people. I start by getting a clear picture of influences such as family, culture, religion, societal and trauma-based. I address underlying issues related to eating habits, like shame, poor self-image and language, and whether there are additional challenges like ADHD. We establish new supporting beliefs. allowing us to create and install a new pattern. Building self-esteem and confidence, and finding ways to make small consistent changes is key to deeper and permanent change.
Hypnotherapy can assist in changing unhealthy behaviors and reinforcing positive lifestyle choices at the subconscious level. Results can vary, and it is often most effective when combined with other weight management strategies. Let's break some patterns.
Hypnotherapy is used by many professional sports clubs, and Olympic athletes, and is a favourite for that boost to your golf game.
Academic performance, productivity and systems structuring, as well as coaching support are all positively impacted with hypnotherapy.
ADHD? AuDHD? PDA? Let's talk.
Kids and teens are wonderful to work with. They are in the suggestible brain state until they're about 8 years old. I use play, metaphor and storytelling, and drawing rather than traditional hypnosis. Not all kids are meant for relaxation.
Teens are special to me as I'm grandma to a bunch. Working with teens is incredibly heartwarming. They get to live so much of their lives free of whatever they came to me for, and who they are in their world changes. That ripples, and we are all better for it.
